Field Staff

MEET THE STAFF The Pennsylvania Sportsmen Portal is proud to present our field staff. At PSP we find that it is very important to have guys on our staff, just like you. All our staff members have full time jobs and live to hunt and fish whenever the opportunity presents. We hope you enjoy their journal entries.

Jason Say

Jason Say, Lebanon County
Forum Name: sports
My name is Jason Say and I am the owner of the Sportsmen Portal. Learning to hunt with my father and grandfather in northwest PA as a boy, I now travel all over the country in pursuit of whitetail with my bow and rifle. I am also an avid fly fisherman and love to pursue wary trout all across the nation.

I am truly blessed with a beautiful wife, son and daughter. My job takes a tremendous amount of time and travel and the hardest part is always being away from my family. The most rewarding thing for me being involved in the outdoors is handing down my traditions to my children. I truly believe this is one of the greatest rewards of being a father.

AJ Johnson

AJ Johnson
Forum Name: mingo
AJ Johnson grew up chasing small game and deer across steep ridges and valleys. AJ was introduced to turkey hunting by a classmate during his college years. Although he didn’t know it at the time, pursuing spring gobblers would become a full blown obsession. Over the years, he has become an accomplished caller and has helped many of his friends bag their first bird. With countless longbeards to his credit, his most recent gobbler seasons have been devoted to harvesting birds with his bow. In the fall, AJ loves pursuing big whitetails in archery season. And during the rut, you can bet that he’ll be perched in his favorite stand from dawn until dusk. You should expect nothing less from a guy who actually proposed to his wife in a treestand. AJ and Bonnie are happily married and have three children, Morgan, Madison, and Troy. AJ’s greatest joy is spending time outdoors with his kids and introducing them to the sport that has meant so much to him.
