Join The Wired Outdoors Team – “Freezin For A Reason”

Learning to hunt with his father and grandfather in Clarion County as a boy, he now travels all over the state in pursuit of whitetail with his bow and rifle. Jason is also an avid fly fisherman and having roots in Western PA and now living in Eastern PA, he loves to fish all the streams in between.

First of all I would like to wish all our friends, family and fans and very Merry Christmas.  It has been an unbelievable year for Wired Outdoors!  With New Year’s quickly approaching, many groups are getting ready to take their annual plunge into the freezing waters for all types of great causes!  This year we were contacted by a group, the Parker Polar Bear Club, from Northwest Pennsylvania that they would like to donate a portion of their proceeds to our Hunt of A Lifetime Kids.  Of course we were thrilled to have another group helping us to send children with life threatening illnesses through our Hunt of A Lifetime program on their dream hunts.

We were at Freezin for a Reason today 01/01/10 and it was awesome. This was the first time we attended an event like this. The turnout was much bigger than we had anticipated – both participants and spectators. We were among the spectators this year watching Rob McCoy and the Wired Outdoors gang brave the cold water. We will be sure to go again next year.

This was our third year and each year it gets bigger and bigger. I have to say it is alot of fun and each year we alone bring more and more people. Parker does a nice job with this and even the after events are fun. I do not jump but love watching the others do so.

Hello wiredoutdoors I was at the 2010 Parker polar bear plunge but didn’t get to meet your team. I did the plunge for the second year in a row and it is an awesome event! I also had a great kayaking pre-plunge warmup! Please let me know how I can get one of your t-shirts that I seen at the event. Your’re doing great things out there, keep on doing it mel risinger jr
