My Son Colin’s First Fish

Sunday, April 8th, 2007

It was a gorgeous afternoon and my wife was working the night shift, while I was on kid duty. I have one son, Colin who is 4 and will turn 5 this May. I have never had him out fishing before and I plan on this summer taking him to a small lake or pond to catch a bunch of sunfish and bluegills.

By Joe Shuhay, Lehigh County, PA
The 2006 PA whitetail archery season brought great promise; I had received permission to hunt a new tract of land in Lehigh County that I knew held some whoppers. I had also done some extensive scouting, and carefully placed my stands in just the right locations. This year was especially exciting because it was the first archery season in which I possessed a doe tag. We all know the excitement that is generated when you are hunting either sex, where every deer you see or hear could mean a shot!

Should PA flintlock hunters get an early season to coincide with archery season?
