harvested near Knox, PA in Clarion
County.
I was fortunate to take this grouse during a whitetail hunt in Clarion County last October. While carefully scanning the brush for deer, I spotted the grouse on a low-lying limb. Luckily, there was a large enough opening in the tangle of branches to get a clear shot. I assumed the grouse would flush before I could draw my bow, but I figured I had nothing to lose. I slowly drew my bow and managed to come to full draw without the grouse moving a muscle. The arrow flew true and the result was my first grouse taken with a bow.
